Synchronicity Studio of Music is a private studio founded by Iranian/Canadian composer and music teacher, Ali Nader, with the intention of sharing his musical knowledge with those interested in music. Later the studio started collaborating with music instructors in other disciplines and now Synchronicity works with 4 passionate music teachers in BC and Ontario.

 

Our teaching philosophy includes a focus on empowering students through revealing their own passions and curiosities. We have designed several courses with the purpose of helping our students to develop their understanding of different aspects of music, their musical creativity, and to learn how to play a musical instrument.

 

If you are a music admirer, you can enrich your appreciation of music. If you are an instrumentalist, you will acquire a deeper understanding of music theory from tonal to post-tonal. If you are an aspiring composer, you will be able to develop your compositional vision and skills. If you are interested in expressing yourself through a musical instrument, you can learn a conventional instrument like the piano, flute, and violin, or a new and different musical instrument like the ‘computer’.

 

The name of the studio, ‘Synchronicity’, has a musical and an extra-musical meaning. Musically, it refers to the timing of musical events following the same ‘clock’. The extra-musical meaning comes from the concept of ‘synchronicity’, defined by the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung as ‘a meaningful coincidence of two or more events where something other than the probability of chance is involved’.
